$7/person, registration required

Take a tour through 1770 led by one of our educators. Learn the history of Piscataway Park and the Accokeek Foundation as you explore the grounds of the National Colonial Farm. Adventure through the history of a working tobacco farm and meet its two- and four-legged residents. Suitable for all ages.

Please note you will see renovation work on some historic buildings limiting access inside. This one-hour walking tour takes place outdoors and over uneven terrain. Unvaccinated visitors over the age of 2 years are asked to wear masks during the tour, and all visitors are required to wear a mask inside the Visitor Center and other public buildings.

Meet the National Colonial Farm’s new baby lambs and calves at the 5th annual Lattes with Lambs barnyard festival!

Enjoy coffee from local WeeBean Coffee Roasters and Krispy Kreme donuts, sheep shearing demonstrations, milking demonstrations, wool spinning demonstrations, a 4-H livestock show, and live music. PLUS! This year’s Lattes includes a very special treat. Farm favorite Sir Nigel the Hog Island sheep will be getting married to Lady Aster in a special ceremony during the event. It's the 19th century, and George Washington's Distillery has burned down. What has become of his famous whiskey recipe? Rumor has it that it may be somewhere on the National Colonial Farm...

Grab a group of 10 friends, and play this special edition of Escape Farm! You'll have one hour to solve interactive puzzles, complete challenging games, and search the farm for clues before your time runs out.

Max of 10 people in each time slot. To book all 10 spots, please email drishell@accokeek.org and check availability. Participants should arrive at the Visitor Center 30 minutes prior to the start of their time slot for check in and orientation. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
