Sounds of the Arab World: A Celebration from Taarab to Pop is a vibrant musical journey honoring the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world. Featuring acclaimed vocalist Nibal Malshi, this program showcases the diversity of Arab music, weaving together the timeless elegance of taarab with the infectious energy of contemporary pop.

This special gathering will bring together Vietnamese American youth, artists, cultural leaders, and community members from across the country to celebrate our heritage and explore the evolving nature of our identity.

M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County is pleased to announce its 7th annual Celebrate Africa Festival on September 22, 2024 – recognized in Prince George’s County, Maryland as African Heritage Month.

The festival acknowledges the contributions and impact of the African immigrant community on Prince George’s County and the greater DMV area, and celebrates the beauty, vibrancy, and cultural relevance of the work of African artisans, crafts persons, musicians and performing artists. The festival aims to promote cultural awareness and understanding between the African immigrant and other communities.

Bring your family to celebrate the outdoors and the Anacostia River at the 9th Annual Festival del Rio Anacostia! Enjoy hands-on activities, crafts, entertainment, delicious food, fishing demos, live animals, and free boat rides and giveaways.

We Move In Color: See and Feel the Journey is an immersive performing and visual art experience chronicling the inspirational journey of African Americans from pre-slavery to Afro-futurism.
